Off The New Paper Primary school kids pull dangerous prank

On 11 March about 4:30pm, my son was riding his motorbike into the carpark of Block 216 in Bukit Batok when he saw a group of kids from the neighbourhood primary school crowding aropund a lamp post.

He slowed down and was making a right turn when he felt a sudden tug on his neck followed by a sharp pain.

Seeing this, the kids ran away. My son then realised that they had, as a prank, stretched a string across the carpark access.

I’m appalled by the incident. The kids may think it was harmless mischief but the string coould have cut deeper had my son not applied his brakes immediately.

I worry if these students will play even more dangerous pranks in the future.

I thought of reporting the incident to the police but decided to give school a chance to put things straight.
