Just when i thought that I’m set for life with MOE, some doubts entered my mind. It’s not comforting to know that MOE has marked me for my slipped disk, which has since become a degenerated disk, ie it’s permanent and hardened. So the chances of it becoming aggravated is very little now. I went for their checkup and the letter from MOE stated that i would be employed with a A95 condition. That is i cannot take MC for medical problems related to my back. Army marked me as pes C, MOE marked me as A95.
Incidentally i chanced upon a job opening at Republic Poly’s Cultural Centre as part of their FOH team. Without thinking for long, i sent in my application for it. A chance to do FOH management has been something that has been on the back of my mind for sometime. So i guess this is a good opportunity if i do get it. The only problem is that they would take 1-2 mths to process, and i have to start MOE in late jul. Knowing myself, i wouldn’t want to be caught in no-man’s land and i would start the moe job if i can’t confirm RP by then. If RP offer comes after i start MOE, i would seriousl y consider dropping MOE even if it means that there is no way back, no way to come back into teaching next time.
Welcome to the real world..
