Objectives
Hair for Hope is an event which invites members of the public to shave their heads to show their support for children with cancer. Through Hair for Hope, we aim to:

Patients’ hair loss, from treatments of cancer such as chemotherapy, is a representation of his or her courageous fight against cancer. Through the symbolic gesture of shaving our heads, we hope to lend moral support to all children with cancer, and to let them know that there is nothing wrong with being bald.

Actually i heard about this long time ago but never bothered to go. Only after misch said she was going, and jio me to go. This is the same gal who dragged me to go to india (n started my love affair with india). Yes that gal’s gonna shave her head too, so even if u dun donate for me, donate for her pls..

And so today’s the day when we got our heads shaved, suntec fountain was seriously packed..

They had a stage of sorts for the shavees to sit at and let the kimage ppl shave. I wun call them hairstylists, cos i think my neighbourhood barber can do a better job. My turn now!

The good thing about shaving for 1st time is that your remaining hair feels very soft, like teddy bear. Seasoned ppl like me end up having toilet brush-type of hair..
