Bangkok Day 3
Posted at 02:04.26 and filed under Singapore, Visual OrgyI thought I would post up the match photos first. The touristy photos those can come abit later. Anyway i wrote this on ClubSnap forums, so basically just transplanted over
Was one of the 100 odd fans who made their way down, though i travelled on my own. With the bitter result from the 1st leg, this match promised fireworks. Sadly i only have my 17-85 f/4-5.6 and my 50mm f/1.8. So, alot of cropping for the action shots, not to mention the blurred motion. The stadium was located within a stone throw’s distance from MBK.
Walking towards the stadium

How come nobody sell singapore flag? heh
The Thais were all ready to party and cheer the home team on

Of course, there is the small problem of the mounted police watching over them

And they are really prepared for the worst

Everyone was trying to surge in, that was ard 5.45pm

They saved 6 rows for us, with the border row free..

And the mata (who has a penchance for tight tight uniforms)

Yellow Sea!

The red patch amongst the yellow sea

2 or 3 bodies i think

Dunno whose lens

Tourist Policeman

Military Policeman

Lionel Lewis emerges for warm up

Eventually the rest of the team emerged

To the joy of the fans

Stadium really full of fans

and mata

Almost ready to start

Since when we sang Majulah Singapura with hand on chest? Ho Peng Kee oso

Thai anthem played

Final huddle

All set!

Eh! Sit wrong area lah!

Din take many shots in 2nd half, concentrated on cheering (and cursing)
Ridhuan tearing down the flank

Noh Alam Shah in action

I call him Air Alam, heh

The Lions equalised and the Thai fans started to kancheong

Victory!

At the final whistle, the players went wild

So did the fans

Gracious in defeat, me and the thai official mascot. If u see his security pass, it’s him in the costume too. =)

Trophy Presentation

The police let the thai fans down to the field but not us, we had to wait for the stadium to clear before we could leave.

Last shot of the night

Next day at Bangkok Airport, after I checked in at Row D for Tiger Airways, I remembered that the Lions are flying SQ at ard the same time and i decided to try my luck at Row K. Lucky me.

And before they had their pre-flight briefing

I managed to get a shot with Shi Jiayi

And Khairul Amri

Did i mention the trophy as well? heh

The end

Great pictures! What model of camera do you use?
I have been to Thailand so many times, but I have never seen cops on horses! The horsies look so cute with that red strip down their head.
lol at the singing of our national anthem with hands on the chest. I have never seen that either.
The funniest picture has to be the one at the airport, with the Thai uniform dude holding the trophy for you all. What is THAT about? Damn funny!
