I was flipping thru the TV channels when i chanced upon this show on channel 8 about chinese idioms, a game contest where they had a few kids to answer qns. This p5 boy answered one of the qns correctly, and the hosts mentioned that he had interesting dream careers.

P1: Ice cream man, cos he loves to eat ice cream P2-3: Provisions shop boss P4: TV Host P5: Super rich big boss

As we grow older, our expectations and dreams change. I never thought that i would end up as a teacher as a kid, I wanted to be a erm..policeman/soldier/fireman..never a teacher.. See wat i’m doing now?

Bookworm Short Stories

I was slacking at Pacific Coffee @ marina yesterday, they had this shelf of donated books which are mainly children\’s stuff, like enid blyton, Beano Annual, and about 10 bookworm books.

I could still remember the day when bookworm came to pei hwa when i was primary one to promote their books. If u subscribe, u would get 2 books a month - 1 bookworm short stories and another non-fiction book of theirs. The best part, @ least it seemed that way back then was that if u subscribe for 1 yr, u get a bookworm club membership that comes with a gold membership card that also works as discount card in many places.

I read bookworm throughout my primary sch days, got so bad that i would wait for the day when they send me the books each mth, and promptly finish both of them within an hour. Wait 30 days for 1 hr of enjoyment. 6 years of bookworm, more than 60 short stories books and roughly the same number of non-fiction books.. Is this hooked or wat?

Large roll of bubble wrap!

If you have not played with this as a kid, then i seriously think u’re damn sad lah..it’s my fav thing when my parents buy something of value, like electrical devices, or some fragile stuff. Then mama would give that sheet to me..and i would keep on pop pop pop. I happy, parents happy too cos i’m quietly occupied for 30 mins…heh..

So today i went to the Singapore Youth Photographers’ Award-organised seminar at SPH News Centre on photojournalism organised by zaobao. The talk was pretty good, but yea lousy doorgift, can’t expect much since it’s a free event. It’s this photoframe from their children’s newspaper Thumbs-up. Totally ginna design, but all i can see is the bubble wrap ard it.

You can guess wat i’m doing now… ;)
